In 2005, Gabrielle Leslie, M.A. former Women’s Program Manager, developed a series of women’s groups including: DUII Level I and Level II Interventions and Relapse Prevention that are comprehensive and outstanding.
Keziah Hinchen, M.A., recently stepped into the role of agency Executive Director after the prior Director and Founder resigned to pursue a graduate degree. Keziah brings over 20 years of clinical and therapeutic work in the recovery field to this position. She trained with the author and nationally-recognized sexual addictions therapist, Patrick Carnes. She has extensive experience working with clients who present with a myriad of disorders. She has also served as Clinical Supervisor for this agency for five years. She recently facilitated pain management groups at PCCI and has made pain management a key component of many of the client’s treatment plans,, since so many of them have inadvertently become dependent on prescription drugs.
Lucie K. Scheuer, CADCII, CGACII, Development Director, has worked in the field of recovery for 20 years and as an addictions counselor, development director and chemical dependency specialist. She is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II in the state of Oregon and is also a Certified Gambling and Smoking Cessation Counselor. She has been recognized for her work with women, trauma and addiction, and in 1990 received a commendation by then Los Angeles Mayor, Tom Bradley.
One of the finest services the agency offers is the Adolescent Treatment Program coordinated by Kristie Lachenmeier, M.A. who comes to this agency with an extensive history working with adolescents, the Native American population and families. Adolescents are introduced to effective intervention techniques and are focused on the futileness of their alcohol, drug-seeking or problem behaviors. Referrals come from Ashland, Phoenix and Medford schools as well as Juvenile Justice.
Dawn Sinclaire, B.A., CHT, formerly the agency Board President, recently ended her term of service on the board and is now working as a support therapist for the women’s program. Dawn facilitates a DUII group and sees women individually. She has been working in the recovery and social service fields for many years and is an asset to the treatment team. She is a Certified Hypno-Therapist and a specialist in women’s issues.
Carl Pirrello, CADCI, is the DUII Program Coordinator. Carl works with male, first, second and multi-offender clients offering them educational applications to explore their alcohol and other drug use and to take responsibility for their actions. He uses a gentle but persuasive approach while encouraging the male participants to be accountable for their actions and own their problematic alcohol and drug-using behavior. Carl also loves and raises chickens!
Tim Sebastian, CADCII joined the agency in the summer of 2007. He has 20 years experience in the recovery field. He recently left his home in New Orleans, after riding out hurricane Katrina, and relocated to southern Oregon with his wife Suzanne. We are lucky to have him, in more ways than one.
Kristin Abbott, B.S. is the agency Bookkeeper. She is a wiz with numbers, administers employee payroll and all finances associated with the agency. In addition to the responsibilities of balancing the agency books, she is partially responsible for formulating grant budgets, works with the Development Director, Executive Director and Grant Administrator.
Christine DeLange, Assistant to the Bookkeeper, will be receiving a B.A. in accounting from Southern Oregon University in October 2008. Christine began at PCCI in June of 2008 as a business intern performing a variety of tasks including accounts receivable, insurance billing and collections.
